Gemäldegalerie, First day in Berlin.

After my short break from big cities I arrived in Berlin at around noon and headed to my hostel. I had met these two travelers in my last hostel in Copenhagen and they were also in Berlin a little before me. So we met up and went to the Gemäldegalerie. This is the collection of the states paintings and let me say, it was a really good collection. I had intended on seeing "The Man with a Golden Helmet" by Rembrandt, and I saw it!

June 4th was a day.

Time to catch up on A LOT. For the next few days I will be both posting updates as well as catching up. This current post is detailing today, June 4th. We went and toured a couple cool little shops and a furniture showroom in downtown Copenhagen. Here are some piicsss: Some of the fun photos I got to take. Including an excellent addition to my Travis Retrospective. After this we went and got some decent burgers at The Hungry Dane, 3.7/5 on the burgers. So yeah I will be catching up and they will be marked with a big capital CATCH UP. So look out for those.

Athens - Archaeology and the Parthenon

SO. I have been in Athens for the past few days and my goodness have I seen some amazing stuff. First of all, Athens as a city is really interesting and very different from Berlin or Copenhagen. The way the city is laid out adheres to the uneven terrain of the area. Also the fact that there are so many features of the city that are so OLD. It is simply amazing, I would get off the subway only to find beautiful artifacts from ancient greece on display. Then I went to the Museum of Archaeology. Talk about some amazing work. I will let some pictures speak for themselves here. Then the next day I went to Parthenon. Greece is amazing, Athens as well. I am honestly so blessed that I can be here in the shadows of such history.
